It isn’t everything you are.
What makes PositiveSingles different?
PositiveSingles is a dating and peer-support community for adults living with herpes, HPV, HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and people open to dating them. You may also see this category called STD dating. Its focus gives you a place to discuss a shared experience without making that experience the whole basis of a relationship.
That focus is a starting point, not a promise that everyone has the same diagnosis or wants the same future. The official community FAQ explains eligibility. This India website helps you prepare; profiles, messages and membership purchases are handled on the main service.

Is a herpes and STI dating community right for you?
You might be newly diagnosed and unsure how to date again, returning after a relationship, or simply tired of explaining the same health topic from the beginning. You can want friendship first or a lasting relationship. State that intention early rather than assuming another member wants the same thing.
A useful first conversation still involves everyday compatibility: how you spend weekends, which languages you enjoy speaking, whether you want children and how much time you have to meet. If marriage or family introductions matter to you, discuss the timing together. Neither a diagnosis nor a surname tells you another person’s values.
If your immediate need is a diagnosis, treatment or help after a possible exposure, start with a clinician, not a dating chat. Our sexual-health help section for India explains where to ask for care. Peer support can sit alongside healthcare; it cannot replace it.
Make location and privacy work for your life in India
In Mumbai, a nearby neighbourhood on a map may still mean a difficult return journey. Across Delhi NCR, check the full trip before agreeing to meet. If you live in a smaller community, consider how far you can realistically travel without publishing your exact address or routine.
You could write, “Based in Pune, open to weekend meetings within the city,” rather than naming your building or daily commute. Mention the languages you actually use; English and Hindi are not everyone’s first choice. Our sample dating bios show how to include those details naturally.
Shared homes can make a health conversation difficult. Agree on a private time for a call and discuss what may be shared with relatives before any family introduction. Use our guide to disclosure and family privacy and city-by-city meeting advice to prepare.
What should you check before joining or paying?
Choose what you need from the service before considering a subscription: nearby conversations, friendship or a relationship that might involve travel. Review the location options and profile information available to your account. We do not publish an independently verified count of members in any Indian city.
Free membership includes registration, viewing and browsing profiles, and replying to messages. Premium adds starting private messages, advanced discovery and additional visibility controls. The personal Matchmaker service is separate. Read the free and Premium feature comparison, then check the current currency, total charge and renewal terms before paying. If a purchase does not appear in your account, contact support before buying again.
Membership does not establish somebody’s health status or make a meeting safe. Take time to discuss intentions and boundaries, and read the STD dating safety guide before sharing sensitive information.
What our India dating guides can—and cannot—do
Each guide addresses a decision: what to say about herpes, what to put in a profile, or how to plan a public meeting. Health statements link to public-health sources. Local examples explain practical choices rather than claiming that a city, venue or platform is risk-free.
These are general educational articles, not individual medical advice or clinician-reviewed guidance. Sample messages are original illustrations, not member testimonials. Lifestyle images are AI-created and do not portray actual members. To flag an unclear statement or outdated source, send the page URL and passage through our correction route.
Your interests. Your hopes. Your next step.
Explore a dating community with space for more than a diagnosis.
